PATTERNS

I use safety eyes that are hand-painted by me. With some exceptions, they are available for purchasing on this site.

For detailed patterns, I use a 2mm hook with size 2 (sport weight) cotton/acrylic blend yarn.

For plushies patterns, I use a 4mm hook with size 6 (super bulky weight) plush yarn.

YarnArt Jeans and Alize Cotton Gold for the sport weight yarn and Wolans Bunny Baby for the plush yarn.

For hooks I use Tulip Etimo Red, though I can also recommend the Clover Soft Touch hooks.

Translations are only available for the patterns where it is indicated on the cover and in the description. The goal is to have everything translated, eventually, but it takes a while.

There's a no-refund policy for digital items, but please contact me if you encounter any issue and I'll do my best to be help out.

Eyes

It can take up to two weeks, depending on the current order volume, as all eyes are meticulously hand-painted with attention to detail. The crafting process takes time, and I want to make sure that the products I deliver meet my standards and your expectations.

For sure, I'm planning to add sets at a later date.

Other than being hand-painted, the shape and design of the actual eye is different than what you typically find online. This type of eyes have a trapezoid shape, flat top surface (instead of the typical dome) and are designed to sink into their backings (along with some of the fabric they are inserted through). They will sit flush on the surface of your toy and will be extremely hard to remove, but also a bit difficult to insert (don't worry though, I have some tips for you!).

There are several methods you can use to make inserting them easier:

  • Use a pair of pliers to push down on the backing.
  • Leave the backings in very hot (almost boiled) water for a minute, then insert them by hand.
  • Use a safety eye insertion tool (you can find these on Amazon or Etsy) - these serve the same function as the pliers, creating a wider surface for you to push using your body weight.

Once inserted, the eye will be almost perfectly flush with the fabric. If the sides of the eyes are visible and sticking out, they are not properly inserted. Try to make sure they "click" two times so that they are sufficiently sunken in and secure.

I only make a limited number of eyes available at a time, to ensure enough time to complete the current orders without sacrificing quality.

To ensure the longevity of your creations, handwash or spot clean any crocheted items. Avoid submerging them in water or exposing them to harsh chemicals.

You will notice that all safety eyes have a rough patch/scratch on the side - this is due to the manufacturing process and it's normal. It will not be noticeable once the eyes are inserted, but you can use a nail file to gently smooth it out a bit if you want.
